Katie Frassinelli is a singer-songwriter who came to the Boston area from Philadelphia via Berkeley, California. She writes from the heart with simple melodies and affecting lyrics addressing everything from a broken heart to a broken justice system, but always with a message of hope. Katie is currently recording a solo album for release in 2020. With a rich, soothing voice reminiscent of Natalie Merchant and Kris Delmhorst, Katie's songs flow over you and into your heart.
You gave a really beautifully sung and thoughtful presentation of your songs. The audience was very quiet and captive of the words you shared. Also there were not only poets there, but songwriters and authors and storytellers and about half who just came out to listen... and that is very cool to reach out to such a mix of people and have them carry your vibes and words and music out to whatever place and path they next go.
